ABOUT MIDWEST CENTER
The Midwest Center for Youth
and Families campus is located on 5 acres of prairie land in a very
rural Indiana setting. The campus features a serene and secure setting
that is conducive to healing. We design treatment based upon individual
need using a multidisciplinary approach delivered by our greatest
assets, our staff, consisting of physicians, therapists, nurses,
teachers and behavioral health workers.
We understand the challenges a parent, foster parent or legal guardian,
struggle with caring for a child with mental illness. Our services are
designed and provided in a culturally sensitive framework to acknowledge
and honor differences among individuals, families and communities. We
have a reputation for working with youth who has been unresponsive to
outpatient, partial hospitalization and in-home treatment services.
We are a leader in our field utilizing the latest clinical outcomes to
provide the most meaningful treatment. In June, 2007, we delivered the
first residential setting utilizing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy in
the nation for treating females adolescents with self-harming,
borderline personality disorder, eating disorders and chemical
dependency issues.
Since 1997 we have offered specialized residential treatment in a highly
structured setting for children 6-18. Our staff provides serves to help
severely troubled children overcome behavioral, emotional, mental or
psychological problems that have caused difficulties with family
interactions, school achievement and peer groups. Our Philosophy is to
treat the child and family using an integrated plan providing quality
care and services.
We remain focused on our vision of becoming the best residential
treatment provider for youth by exceeding expectations of our patients,
families and referral sources.
