The Midwest Academy mission is to provide student’s the opportunity for
a continued quality education, in a stable environment, moving them
forward to their next level of academic achievement.
Our year-round school curriculum is in line with the Indiana State

and receive additional training in crisis prevention and intervention as

While in class our educators work with students to:
-
Develop self esteem
-
Learn to cope with peer pressure
-
Learn to following directions
-
Realize the importance of daily attendance
-
Learn to work within the social norms
-
Experience academic achievement
A successful reintegration includes:
-
Determining educational needs and services
-
Earning passes for family visitation
-
Developing an educational plan for the future
-
Ongoing review of skills and abilities for
achievement
-
Transition plan in place for education
-
Wrap around services for the family
When a student is ready to return to their home
community a gradual process of reintegration begins. This process moves
forward from determining the needs of the family, to earning passes at
home, to developing a plan for the future with the family and
transitioning to an appropriate academic setting. When a student leaves
Midwest Academy it is with a plan for future success in place for the
child and the family.
