CONTRABAND LIST

Expensive and/or valuable items should not be brought to MCYF. The facility is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

The following items are not allowed at MCFY:

1. Designer or expensive clothing
2. Cameras and photo capable cell phones
3. Metal or plastic jewelry-rings, necklaces, earrings, body piercing, ect.
4. Personal appliances – curling irons, hair dryers, electric shavers, and razors
5. Aerosol cans
6. Pens
7. Photo albums with metal binders
8. Notebooks with metal binders
9. Plants and flowers
10. Items that represent drug, gang, or satanic affiliation
11. Nylons
12. Belts
13. Wire hangers
14. Food from outside the facility
15. Cigarettes, lighters and matches
16. Prescribed or non-prescribed drugs not provided by the facility
17. Alcoholic beverages
18. Perfume, cologne and aftershave
19. Hygiene products that contain any alcohol
20. Clothing items that contain any metal (i.e. under wire bras)
21. Glass items, metal items, or mirrors
22. Inappropriate literature
23. Make-up, nail polish, tweezers, and nail clippers
24. Laundry detergent and cleaning supplies
25. Rubber bands
26. Sleeveless shirts and tank tops
27. Sweatshirts with hoods and/or big front pocket
28. Provocative or extremely tight clothing
29. Overalls

These items may be kept in the incentive bins, but not in resident’s rooms:
1. Pencils, markers, crayons, and art supplies
2. Trading cards and playing cards
3. Electronic hand held games, headphones and CD’s

ADL bins are kept in the Patient Care Stations
