Leadership Team
MIKE PERRY, CEO
Mike
Perry, MA, Organizational Management University of Phoenix, BS in Youth
Services from Wesleyan College. Mike has spent an entire career in
behavioral health care with 23 years of experience. With 10 years
experience as the CEO for Century Healthcare in Arizona, Charter NW
Indiana, Dungarvin and now Midwest Center for Youth and Families, he has
dedicated his career to improving the lives of children with behavioral
and emotional problems.
JENNIFER GILL, DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL SERVICES
Jennifer
Gill, MSW, LSW, is a graduate and adjunct professor of Indiana
University Northwest. With over 12 years of clinical experience,
Jennifer has worked primarily with individuals who have chronic mental
illness as well as other emotional/behavioral disturbances including
personality disorders, self harmers and psychotic disorders. Jennifer
oversees the clinical program, supervises the therapy department and
directs the performance improvement program facility-wide. Jennifer’s
other responsibilities include directing the internship/practicum
program at Midwest Center which currently includes 3 universities.
JACI HAARSMA, DIRECTOR OF
HUMAN RESOURCES
Jaci
Haarsma, BA, Business & Communications, Calvin College, Grand Rapids,
MI. Jaci transferred to Midwest Center for Youth and Families from one
of our sister facilities in Grand Rapids Michigan. While at that
facility, she was the Human Resources Coordinator. Jaci transferred to
Midwest Center as the Director of Human Resources in 2004. Jaci has
implemented many new policies for the organization while still finding
time to plan many of the employee activities and events here at Midwest
Center.
JENNIFER LEVINE, DIRECTOR OF
NURSING
Jennifer
Levine, RN., MA, CCM holds an Associates Degree in Nursing and a
Bachelors Degree in
Psychology from IUPU, Fort Wayne. She received her MA in 1993 from the
Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois. Jennifer
started her career as a psych nurse, and she comes to us with a wealth
of experience in the mental health field including inpatient nursing,
outpatient counseling, working as a school nurse and most recently she
was the Assistant Director of Treatment and Diagnostics and then the
Mental Health Specialist for the Allen County Juvenile Court. Jennifer
has also written and published two workbooks for children entitled
“Forever In My Heart” and “Remembering Special Days”. Both workbooks are
designed to help children cope with the loss of a parent. Jennifer says
“I love the sense of wonder that children have when discovering new
things. They teach me to look at things with new and young eyes!”
Jennifer will be directing the nursing staff at Midwest Center for Youth
and Families.
ROBERTA ULLERY-COOMBS, DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION
Roberta
Ullery-Coombs, is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University, MS in
Educational Leadership, BS, from Ball State University. She also has her
endorsement in English for Speakers of Other Languages from NOVA
Southeastern University. Most recently, Roberta has served as an
Assistant Principal for the School Board of St. Lucie County in Port St.
Lucie, Florida. Prior to serving as Assistant Principal, she has taught
Special Education to students at all grade levels in Florida and
Indiana. Roberta oversees all of the Midwest Academy teachers who carry
out a clinical education model that combines education and therapeutic
techniques. These techniques set realistic expectations for growth to
give each student the best chance for success. Her favorite thing about
working with children is helping them to accomplish their goals both
academically and behaviorally.
